another perception
| Isaiah 55:11 |
Too often as a Christian, I feel scared to preach the Gospel; to open my mouth and tell of what God has done for my life; to preach the truth and give words of life that will give purpose and direction for those that have not experienced the love of Christ. I ask myself questions: will I be good enough? Will I be timid? Am I creating a gate or adding to the fence? How will they react? Will I be able to answer their questions?....
The words of Isaiah 55:11 are a promise made to all believers that if they just open their mouth and preach His heart, His gospel, and His message, those words (and the actions that accompany those words) will ALWAYS be successful! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Lord speaks: so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it (NIV) So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty--handed. They'll do the work I sent them to do, they'll complete the assignment I gave them (Message) It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. (NLT) That's how it is with my words. They don't return to me without doing everything I send them to do (CEV) |
